The Rainbow is a vibrant card game where players aim to build a winning hand by collecting the 7 colours of the rainbow. To succeed, you’ll need a good memory, strategic thinking and sharp deduction skills as other players can use special cards to stop, steal or swap their entire hands with you!

Designed to be family-friendly, “The Rainbow” is easy to learn and suitable for all ages. Whether you’re planning a game night with friends, a cosy evening with your partner, or quality time with the kids, this game is guaranteed to be a hit. It’s simple yet engaging gameplay ensures that everyone can participate, making it the perfect addition to any gathering.

This colourful and entertaining game has been created by Ian Hannaford. He says:

In each round, players aim to collect all 7 rainbow colours — Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet. The goal is to be the first to gather one card of each colour and declare “The Rainbow”. The challenge is that other players can use special cards in an attempt to better their hand whilst destroying yours! 

Players start with 7 cards, taking turns drawing, deciding and discarding. When someone declares The Rainbow and wins a round, others tally their remaining cards. Anyone reaching 120 points is out of the game. Various endings are available for added excitement.
