RealtimeCampaign.com Promotes Rafting and Outdoor Adventures In Northern California

Vacations are something most everyone enjoys, and spend much time planning out. Are you planning a trip to California’s far north this summer? Then try to get out and enjoy some of the beautiful and exciting outdoor activities in this beautiful part of the country. According to RealtimeCampaign.com, one terrific way of doing so is to try whitewater rafting.

Whitewater rafting is a hugely popular activity that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and experience levels. According to the International Scale of River Difficulty, there are six classes of whitewater rafting. Ranging from Class I, best for beginners, the skill level here is very basic. There are small rough areas along the way, and some minimal, slight maneuvering may have to take place. Class levels progress on upwards to Class VI. Due to the extreme possibility of equipment damage and personal injury (or worse), only the very bold and highly experienced rafters take on these rapids. If indeed a whitewater rafting trip can be included in your itinerary, consider heading for Coloma and Lotus, California, known as the epicenter of California rafting for an American whitewater expedition.

The American River

The American River has 3 Forks, each different in size and difficulty, making it the ideal destination for rafters of any experience level. For the heartiest adventurer, they can take on the North Fork and its Class V rapids. A little less vigorous is the American’s Middle Fork. This is a beautiful 18-mile stretch featuring Class II to Class IV rapids. The South Fork, ideal for first-time rafters and families, is rated a Class III rapids. You can have a peek here.

Rafters have several options on the amount of time they want to spend out on the water. Half-day trips are very popular and vary in trip length, time rafting, and meeting times. Very popular with larger groups are the full day rafting trips. They take place on all 3 Forks of the American River and are an extremely enjoyable way to take in all the breathtaking scenery. And some rides feature highly experienced guides who will tell about the wildlife in the area, the area’s human history, and the exploration in this area during the Gold Rush era. They may also get into detail about American River’s role in California’s power delivery and water system. So, on top of a gorgeous and fun water ride, you could very well learn a thing or two along the way!

Multi-day trip packages are a great way to see as much of the 3 Forks in the American River as possible and come in a variety of trip lengths and Classes/Levels. So, check out options that will work best for you. Make your next adventure incorporate some great white water thrills.
