Black Eyed Peas Dramatically Halt Performance To Help Medics Reach Fan: International Artists Perform at Music Festival as it is revealed that only 13% of festival headliners this year are reported to be women*.

will.i.am and his band Black Eyed Peas were halfway through their performance of recent hit “GIRL LIKE ME” at LooseFest 22, when the rapper dramatically brought the music to a halt, to get the crowds attention, urging spectators to “clear the way” as he could see that medics were struggling to reach a fan in need of assistance.  The crowd quickly parted and waited patiently, as will.i.am reminded them to put “safety first”. will.i.am was applauded for his kind and quick thinking action, before the band re-started the song, driving the fans wild, before a final flurry of hits including ‘WHERE IS THE LOVE?’ and ‘I GOTTA FEELING’.

Dean Saunders, one of the directors of LooseFest said: “The crowd instantly stopped when will.I.am paused his headline set until the emergency was resolved.  It was surreal seeing the crowd part instantly at his request, absolutely incredible from him, but also all the amazing people for putting a fellow festival goer’s safety first before anything else. Everyone showed their respect as the crowd burst into spontaneous applause to give appreciation for his quick thinking action.  Absolutely amazing and massive respect to will.I.am and the rest of the Black Eyed Peas and especially from everyone at LooseFest’s over 70 music artists performed at the music festival across four all-weather stages, including MABEL, Black Eyed Peas, AJ Tracey, Jonas Blue, Paul Woolford, Patrick Topping, Example, Clean Bandit, Alan Fitzpatrick, Wilkinson and Disciples.  Mabel performed her “empowering” new song GOOD LUCK, with the international female music artist closing the second day of the music festival, as research emerged that only 13% of festival headliners this year are reported to be women*.

Brian Austin, a director of LooseFest said: “There are some very talented female artists on the music scene, with emerging talent more prolific than ever.  We love to champion talent, including those artists who have found their musical vocation in lockdown.”

Brian Austin continued: “Securing international music artists like Mabel, will.i.am and the Black Eyed Peas, AJ Tracey, Clean Bandit, Wilkinson and Paul Woolford was a huge moment for the team, especially after the challenges the music industry has faced over the past two years.  It has been intense, but we were determined to make it happen and we are so proud of what we have achieved.  The directors of LooseFest defied the odds to put the festival on in just four months after one of the most challenging times in the music industry, also investing millions in the process.
